LEMP Partners with StockWise Nigeria to Give Software Testing Students Real-World QA Experience

At LEMP, we believe that becoming a skilled Software Tester requires more than learning testing concepts. It requires the opportunity to apply those concepts to real products, work through real testing scenarios, and understand how Quality Assurance fits into a professional client environment.
That is why we are delighted to announce our collaboration with StockWise Nigeria, which is giving our Software Testing students the opportunity to contribute to a structured Quality Assurance project for the StockWise application under the supervision of experienced Quality Engineers.
Moving from Training to Practical Experience
One of the biggest gaps aspiring Software Testers face is the transition from training to actual work.
Students may understand testing principles, testing techniques, and industry tools, but applying that knowledge to a real digital product introduces a different level of learning.
Through this collaboration, LEMP students are gaining supervised experience working on a client application and applying the skills they have developed during their training.
As part of the project, students are involved in activities including:
Requirements analysis
Test planning
Test scenario creation
Test case creation
Functional testing
Exploratory testing
Defect reporting
Retesting
Regression testing
Test completion reporting
These activities allow students to experience how testing is carried out beyond the classroom and understand the level of attention, communication, and documentation required in a professional QA environment.
Learning How Quality Engineers Work
The value of this project goes beyond executing test cases.
Students are learning how Quality Engineers investigate product behaviour, identify potential issues, communicate findings clearly, and work with clients and other stakeholders to improve product quality.
They are also gaining a better understanding of how QA teams approach problems systematically.
When a defect is discovered, for example, the work does not simply end with identifying that something is wrong. Testers need to provide enough information for the issue to be understood, investigated, and reproduced.
This experience helps students develop the technical and professional skills needed to contribute effectively to a QA team.
From Testing to Measurable Product Impact
The collaboration has already demonstrated the practical value of careful testing.
During the project, evidence provided by our students supported the investigation and resolution of an authentication issue within the test environment.
For us, this is an important part of what practical training should achieve.
Students are not simply completing exercises created for a classroom. They are testing a real digital product, documenting their findings and contributing information that can support product improvement.
Bridging the Gap Between Training and Employment
At LEMP, our goal is to help aspiring Software Testers move confidently from learning to professional practice.
That means combining practical Software Testing training, career preparation, and supervised client project experience to help students build both technical competence and workplace confidence.
Our collaboration with StockWise is another step towards achieving that goal.
We are grateful to Dean and the entire StockWise team for creating this opportunity and allowing our students to contribute, learn, and grow through the project.
We look forward to seeing the professional development that comes from this experience and the continued value the collaboration creates for both the students and the StockWise product.
Learn. Experience. Master. Progress.
